Ueber uns

This is an archive of longer technical writing, published at an unhurried pace by practitioners rather than by a marketing department. Pieces are edited for clarity and nothing else; we do not shorten an argument because it got long, and we do not publish anything that reads like a product announcement.

Contributions come from engineers and operators who wanted somewhere to put a piece that was too long for a company blog and too specific for a conference talk. Authors keep their copyright and we keep the archive online, which is the whole arrangement.

There is no newsletter, no tracking and no comment section. If you want to argue with a piece, the author's contact is at the end of it, and that has consistently produced better conversations than any comment thread we have run.

Publishing schedule

New pieces appear roughly fortnightly. There is no schedule beyond that and we would rather publish nothing than publish filler.

Contributing

Pitches go to the postal address below with a paragraph on what the piece argues and why you are the person to write it. We read everything and reply either way. Authors keep copyright; we ask only for the right to keep the piece online.
